Thanksgiving

Harper with Aunt Lyndsey & Cousin Kim
Look at that face!!

Harper with Nana, Pop Pop & Loren

mmm...Harper had her own turkey dinner (out of a jar of course) She LOVED it! Although we paid for it the whole night because obviously my baby's sensitive tummy didn't love it so much. Our family.

Harper playing with her turkey - special from De De for Thanksgiving.

Playing in Leaves

These were taken a few weeks back on a Sunday morning when Jeff & I were cleaning up the leaves on our deck. I couldn't resist plopping Harper right in the middle of the pile...

Her 1st shoes!

I'm not big on spending money on baby shoes, but I couldn't resist when we saw these adorable baby timberlands so we splurged. I figure she's only little once so it's okay to get her a couple special things. We bought a size bigger so they'll last longer.
She'll be crawling soon, here she is ready to scoot right off the couch.

Beautiful Day at the Zoo 11/15

My favorite picture that I've ever taken of my baby girl.....Although you can see Jeff & my shadows, she looks like such a big girl. I'm sad that she's growing up ~ although I love her more everyday.
We thought she'd be able to see the animals, but she was more concerned with people watching than looking at the zoo animals. Maybe in the Spring we'll try again.

Playdates

Harper had 2 playdates in 1 day! What a popular little baby. First, we started our morning playing with little Tully. She loved showing off and trying to hit him in the head with her egg (favorite toy). Then, we had dinner with Taylin. Hmmm wonder which one she'll date first?? Don't ask Daddy that question.... The guys had a great time comparing "Daddy notes". It was actually really cute. We went out and got Harper a pair of pink baby timbs to match Taylin's.

Tully got a kick out of watching Harper - even though only 9 weeks apart she's close to 8 pounds bigger than he is!

Football Game

Harper went to her 2nd high school football game the night before Halloween. She loved the lights & stayed up the whole time even though it was way past her bedtime.

Halloween 2009

Giving out trick or treat candy on the front steps was a lot of fun! We took her to about 5 houses in the neighborhood trick or treating. I think that we had more fun than she did collecting candy! Pumpkin & Batman.
She only lasted about 10 minutes as a lion, just enough time to take a couple pictures. Doesn't look too fierce...

6 month update

Harper got 4 shots today & screamed the entire time, poor baby! Doctor said she is definetly teething, which we figured since she is up all the time now in the night crying. Hopefully this tooth will break through in the next couple days so we can finally get some sleep.

Weight - 20lbs 5oz ~ over 99th%tile
Height - 27 1/2 in ~ 95th%tile

She eats 2 meals a day. I make her baby food from scratch which I'm very proud of. I'm also still nursing her although as of last week she started getting a few oz of formula during the day. Although she is absolutely adorable, it's very hard finding pants that fit her right. I got her 3 different types of pajamas this weekend & not 1 pair fit. Either they are skin tight or they fit okay but are super long. I told Jeff that we could probably start a clothes line for chunky babies and make a ton of $$.

In terms of milestones, she's been sitting up since 4 1/2 months - which is pretty early, but probably because she's so bottom heavy she had some support =) She loves to play with toys and her big trick is switching hands with a toy, she'll do this over & over again. She also started going from a sitting up position to diving to be on her belly -- getting ready to be mobile soon. This past weekend she started making high pitch squeals that although deafening it's hard not to laugh. She loves hugs & kisses and being held. She's a happy baby but when she wants something she lets everyone around know. I just love her to pieces.

Christening Day

On October 25th Harper Catherine was christened. It was a beautiful day - she looked like a precious angel. For some reason this pictures are in reverse order starting with the cake, which she really enjoyed. We were very appreciative to have our friends and family come to MD for her special day.

Christening Weekend

Opening her presents from Uncle Drew - I think she liked the ribbon better than the gift.
Harper and Uncle Ryan having some drinks in the Annapolis Harbor.

Harper posing with Uncle Drew & Lisa.
Doing some shopping -she really wanted a piece of fudge, maybe next year.
